Three Women (simplified Chinese: 丽人行; traditional Chinese: 麗人行; pinyin: Lì rén xíng) also known as Women Side-By-Side[1] is a 1949 Chinese film directed by Chen Liting. The film, based on a play by the leftist writer Tian Han (who also wrote the similarly themed, Three Modern Women (1934)), tells the story of three women in contemporary China, a former revolutionary, a factory worker, and a Chinese Nora.[1]
